The Newcastle Group
Meditating in the Newcastle gompa

The Newcastle group is located in Walker, East of Newcastle town centre, not far from the Tyne river. We are a small family run group and hold a weekly meditation and every two months a public lecture or event (see below for details). Anybody new to meditation can get instruction on how to meditate with copious amounts of tea all for free.

We are also able to provide general background information on Diamond Way Buddhism and also have a small collection of books that can be borrowed or bought.

Regular Meditation Times
Monday 7:00pm:

Introduction and 16th Karmapa guided meditation: for people who are new to Buddhism and those who have been practicing for many years. There is plenty of time to answer any questions you may have.
Wednesday 8:00pm:

Ngondro Sundays

On the first Sunday of every month we meet at 2.00pm for ngondro. Please come along and do your own practice.
